Mike Moses, CPM, Principal & Founder
Mr. Moses is responsible for the multifamily property management for the Michaelson Group. Mike brings with him over 27 years of property management experience in the apartment and condominium/homeowners association industry. Mike is the founder and principal of the company. He has managed over 27,000 units in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, and Washington D.C.
Previously, Mr. Moses led the start up of a new apartment management group, and grew the business to over 8,000 units of managed product in less than 2 years. With Greystar, as the Regional Operations Partner, Mike took their portfolio of units from 240 units to over 27,000 units in only seven years. Mike also spent many years with both Vestcor and Tarragon as Regional Vice President managing 17,000 units and 12,000 units respectively. Both Tarragon and Greystar still credit Mr. Moses for their current presence in the South East.
Mr. Moses has been the past president of the First Coast Apartment Association and is a Certified Property Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Managers, and also holds a Brokers License.
Mike graduated from Columbia College of Missouri with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Mike has also received his MBA from the University of Florida.
Jay Massirman, Principal
Jay has been investing, developing, managing and brokering real estate since 1984. Product types have included: self storage, hotels, apartments, tax credit development, condo conversions and land entitlement He has invested with sponsors in a variety of real estate projects in with an aggregate value over $300 million.
Jay was one of the founding partners of Asentus, a commercial real estate investment and merchant banking firm. Asentus provided its clients with a broad range of services including investment sales, debt and equity financing, leasing, receiverships and advisory. The firm was merged with a prominent boutique NY real estate investment banking firm.
Early in Jays career, he spent 20 years with CBRE in the multifamily arena. As a Vice Chairman with CBRE, Jay was actively involved in the sale and financing assignments of more than 400 transactions including over 76,000 multifamily units with an aggregate value in excess of $10 billion.

David B. Watkins, CPA, CAPS - Chief Operations Officer
Dave is a native Floridian. Born and raised in Central Florida. Dave is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Dave is a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Dave is a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS), a designation from the National Apartment Association.
Dave has over forty years of experience and expertise in property management and has served as president of several large real estate management and development companies. In the past forty years, Dave has had management responsibilities for over 50,000 apartment homes, two million square feet of office and retail space, 12 hotels/motels and several types of real estate including mini-storage facilities, golf course and marinas. In 2000, Dave joined Greystar in their Tampa office and grew the Tampa operations from two properties to over 24 properties.
Dave has served as President of two apartment associations in Florida. Dave was the founder and the first President of the Capitol City Apartment Association (1990-Tallahassee) and served as President of the Bay Area Apartment Association (2000-Tampa Bay). Dave served as President of Florida Apartment Association for the year 2002-2003 as well as Chairman of the Board for National Apartment Association for the year 2007. Dave currently serves on the Board of Directors for Bay Area Apartment Association, Florida Apartment Association and National Apartment Association. In 2006, Dave was the first person ever to be elected to the Florida Apartment Association Hall of Fame
Alfonso Restrepo, Chief Financial Officer
Alfonso Restrepo is a native Floridian. Alfonso has been involved in property management for over 11 years. He has performed and supervised the financial reporting for over 10,000 units in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and New Hampshire. In addition, Alfonso has experience with the housing reporting for agencies such as Section 8 and HUD. Alfonso has performed and overseen the financial reporting for construction projects in Florida and Texas which includes draws, G702-703 reporting, and banking. He is fluent in Spanish, speaking and writing. Alfonso received his BBA degree from the University of North Florida and is a CPA candidate
Deena Downey ARM, V.P. Business Development
Deena has been in the property management business for the past 16 years. During her career she has managed conventional and student housing properties throughout the United States. During her 16 years in the industry she has built strong relationships while maintaining and preserving the assets for the ownership groups that she represents. She has won awards for Community Manager of the Year, and the prestigious President’s Award. She has obtained her Accredited Resident Manager Designation with the Institute of Real Estate Management and she is a CPM Candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Erika Davenport, VP Operations
Erika joins Michaelson Group bringing 25 years of experience in Property Management. Erika most recently held the position of Regional Vice President for a national management company. Originally from the Va/DC market, Erika moved to Florida in 1994. Erika brings experience in Tax Credit, Bond, Section 8, Conventional Housing, Training, Marketing and Advertising. Erika sat on the executive board of the FSU Property Management Program for 5 years, helping to raise awareness of our industry while at the same time, raising donations for Scholarships. Erika is very involved with the local and state apartment associations.
Casper "CJ" Maier, CPM, South Florida Regional Manager
CJ Brings seasoned professional with expertise in managing Multifamily and Commercial Properties, including Distressed Assets and Value Add properties including (but not limited to): acquisitions, underwriting / performing due diligence, hiring vendors / contractors, marketing and implementing long-term goals for the asset. I am very skilled in managing general contractors, construction managers and internal construction for multi-million dollar construction and renovation projects.HOUSING TRUST GROUP OF FLORIDA, Coconut Grove, FL , Apr. 2005 to 2011, Regional Project Director: Directed all project operations from inception to the disposition of for multiple assets including acquisition, due diligence, construction / renovation, reviewing monthly financials, preparing and approving construction draws and individual sales and closings. Create realistic cash flow models, capital plans, marketing and leasing plans, prepare rental and association budgets, sensitivity analyses, and approve all contracts. Coordinate closing statements and manage vendor and rental operations for multifamily, commercial, conversions and new construction properties throughout Florida. Create numerous pro-forma for new acquisitions.

Corporate office Acquisitions Department for the largest condominium converter in the nation. Was actively involved in discussions with principals, senior management and lenders as to the performance of current properties, future acquisitions or properties currently under contract. Developed and implemented Annual Business Plans for each asset assignment and provide daily oversight and management of a team of each multifamily property.
